these guys are about 10weeks old
so i decided to try and give the two an almond for dessert... BIG mistake. they went at it like long arch enemies, squealing pouncing and scratching....
This was the only time of aggression, should their be a worry of housing them together? do they normally need separating?

Did they each get one or did you give them just one ? Any and all will fight over just one, if everybody has one it should be fine, if they squabble that is normal also.

I have a set of twin boyz that are14 weeks old and that is pretty normal for them. Give them a minute and they will be playing chase all over the pen. I think that is pretty normal for them. I sometimes give them 1 nut and let them have at it for a few minutes then give the other one a nut. A little scrapping is ok.

Mine have always been aggressive when it comes to food. They will even fight you as they get older. They are fine. When I have two together I give them separate bowls so they don't fight.

sorry for late reply, thanks for yours, what ive deduced is after the bigger gluton squirrel ate his he then stole the one from the lil guy and then went all rage squirrel on anything within 5 feet of him, scary though ive never seen the lil one so afraid and the noise he made, couldnt calm him down, just held hand near to get the scent and maybe be ok..... as soon as the nut was gone it was back to fluffy lil friendly squirrel...... definitely sectioning the cage when nuts involved again
and tonight was the first time i watched them "nest" took all the "blankets" and cuddle up with the lil guy, as if a peace offering lol, these things are nuts

lol ya i video recorded them in the process and there was a few times if the door wasnt closed i would had a squirrel latched onto my face, he was not letting that nut go
:thankyou
