how do I get my babies to drink water?

how can I get my 8 week old babies to drink water I got a water bottle but they wont drink from it I tried putting stuff on the tip and they licked it off but wont use it otherwise is it safe to put a dish of water in with them?

With all of my guys, I simply placed the water bottle close to the food dish (during this time I was still feeding formula regularly) and they ignored it for awhile, then they played with it and then one day they were drinking from it.

Make sure the little ball is not sticking (make sure the bottle works) and I also change the water and wash the bottle every 3 days. This keeps the bacteria from building up and making them sick.

I agree...... this is not some thing you can make them do, you just have to place the glass water bottle in the cage with them once you start feeding them squirrel block and other food items and in time they will start to drink from it...... its best to do this while they are still taking their formula this way you do not have to worry about them getting dehydrated.
