I have a male and a female squirrel. Both are not very human friendly but doesn't hesitate to take a leap at food I feed.I've been noticing that the female has been losing its fur for sometime and today it has lost almost half of its fur and looks almost white.I'm curious if its a disease or something and if it is pls help me with solutions so that I can do the best for them. The male squirrel is totally unaffected and that makes me wonder if the female is undergoing pregnancy..........pls help!

Pictures would help....but I can't help but think....the mating process for squirrels is FAR from delicate. Ive seen some pretty beat up looking females when the males go into rut. :shakehead
I'm thinking mating has something to do with it.
Even our way, the females often show some hair loss or other indications.
Just observe for a week, and see how she looks then.
