Hi! I just joined this site and saw your post. My neighbor just found a 4-5 week old baby squirrel and gave him to me to take care of since we love animals. I went down to the pet store and picked up kitten milk but just saw posts that I shouldn't be. Now I don't know what to feed him, and am reading posts. My address is as follows if you have anymore powder left.

DO NOT USE Esbilac!!! That crap almost killed our Squirrley, she got very sick.
Ill get some sent off to you. For now pick up some at your grocery store, most carry it right next to cows milk. The packets ill send you will last months and you wont have to worry about it spoiling.

Robin,
This is a recipe that was sent to me from a fellow rescuer that help me alot when i was having "formula" issues. Hopefully it will give you some guidance, there is a recipe for the goats milk formula which will be fine to use alone in the mean time while you wait for the Fox Valley to come in. Go get the goats milk at the store for now, Grab the smallest one they have cause most of it will expire before you can use it all. Same for the heavy cream and yogurt.
Ill get the powdered stuff sent off on monday. Good luck with the little one!!
"Goat milk powder is 4 parts water and 1 part powder and FV is 2 parts water and 1 part powder.
So, you can take one tablespoon of goat milk and add one teaspoon of heavy cream and one teaspoon of vanilla full fat yogurt ( I think Yo Baby is full fat).
This is the goat milk formula. Now you will need to make the FV to match. One tablespoon of water and one and a half teaspoon of FV powder. Now mix them together and you are done.
Hint, put your water measured into a small glass jar and warm it in the micro, as the FV needs really warm water to disolve. Put the lid on and shake it up. Then add your goat mixture to this and stir. You dont want to feed baby until the bubbles settle from shaking or you can fill her with air from the bubbles. same for any baby."

I sent you a PM. I'll take whatever you have left, but give it to people that need small amounts at a time because the packets are more expensive per ounce than the big containers that I get, so if people need just small packets, send it to them because I mix up a powdered homemade formula in 5 lb. batches for baby cottontails.
