Hello all! I just realized this introduction board was here - whoops! I just sort of jumped right in and started harassing y'all for answers to my questions.
My name is Erin and I'm a mom of three young kids, and now four baby squirrels. My hubby isn't all that impressed, but too bad for him - he knew what he was getting into when he married me. I can't pass a sick/lonely animal without helping it out. My conscience just kills me sometimes.
I've been rescuing/rehabbing birds (babies & adults) since I was barely a teenager. The first many passed away as I just had no idea what to do... but I learned quite a lot volunteering at a local animal hospital throughout my teenaged years. Until my allergies made it impossible for me to continue there, I was determined to become a vet.
I've had a couple sick mice before, many many homeless cats and dogs but this is the first time I've had squirrels and first time having so many at a time - whew! They're pretty amazing creatures!
This site has been completely beneficial for me and I'm truly thankful it exists. I definitely would have lost one of my little guys if I hadn't known he'd needed antibiotics. A pretty easy fix, but not something I would have ever figured out on my own.
See y'all around!
