How much food per day?

How much food should a squirrel be given a day? My squirrel is weaned and has no problem eating his blocks and whatever else I give him (glutinous little thing), but I was wondering exactly how much he should be fed, and how to space it out throughout the day?

After our little ones are fully weaned we go on a breakfast, lunch and dinner feeding schedule... with the first meal being early around 7-8 AM and the last meal being feed at least 30 minutes before dark so the squirrels know to get ready for bed at night like they would in the wild....... and we place a glass leak proof water bottle in the cage with them.

Squirrels Blocks are feed in the AM Meal
Nuts are saved until after their 3rd Meal is eaten

My Squirrels ate on this Schedule: 8 am / 1 pm / 6pm / bed time 7-8 pm
.......... so every 5 hours.

Sounds good. How many blocks would you suggest at each meal?

I think many folks give two at each.
When we still had some grays, we'd go ahead and leave good food (greenery) out for them all day. Squirrels tend to forage throughout the day.
Give the stinker a whole nut after he finishes his blocks.

That would be 2 of the Henry's Healty Bites. If you are feeding Forti Diet or Harlan Teklad or another of the "lab" blocks, I would make sure there are always some in the cage.

I also give my boys yogurt once a day! I mix it with the fox valley.

My main concern is that he'll be hungry. Nutritionally he's okay but he always seems to want something to eat.
