ok, they now stand up and are taller than their sterlite container is deep...
it's a shallow yet large sterlite.
I do not have a cat carrier/closed container.
SRBT uses a large aquarium covered for her bunnies...I do not have one.
Can I use a baby cage with 1/2 inch bar spacing and a springy bottom?
the bunnies are in my room, a quiet place with soft filtered sunlight all day.
Do they get a hut? A cardboard box? toys?
they have timothy hay and get fresh greens and weeds/clover at the same time everyday.
what about water? a bowl? a bottle?
I am still feeding them three times a day FV.
They opened their eyes on the 18th, I am guessing them to be three weeks old today...is that right?
thanks for any pointers!

BTW, they are the cutest things ever!

We used to keep baby buns in the cage I had Lena in with the plexiglass sides. Had a hut, water bottle and shallow dish with water. Covered the bottom with aspen shavings. Hope this helps.

Just keep romaine in there and I doubt they will give the care fresh a thought.:D

Jackie, I use fleece on the bottom and change out every day. I usually use a 20L aquarium, but you can also use a rubbermaid container, make a top out of screen, make sure it is weighted down, as they do jump and will know if off. You want to keep them pretty covered so the are not looking out, they stress so easily if they can see but can't get out there. You can give them a cardboard box, with a 'door' cut in (that way you can replace for free if it gets soiled or they outgrow it). Put lots of hay in it they can burrow into. I usually start putting bunny pellets in with them as well as old fashioned oats. Are you giving any probiotics? If not, you should (I like Peter's Rabbit Probiotic, but benebac works too.)

taking all this info in :thumbsup TY!!!!
can they have veggies ? Like carrots and broccolli...or just leafy greens and hay/pellets?
let's not talk about formula, I am supersticious...so far so good.:thumbsup
when do they stop getting formula btw?:peace
I will be relieved, they both eat really well!
They have precious little tongues that flicker back and forth from one side of the nipple to the other...cute as can be!
They try to double team the syringe when I do not hold them to feed...fun fun fun!!!
I do still hold them to feed occassionally, coz they feel good!:Love_Icon
will keep cage covered, no big deep sterlite here.
My house is relatively quiet and calm...just me and the critters.:)
thanks for all pointers...can't wait to give them back to Mother nature...all the warning hype has had me nervous everyday! OYE!:tilt

I off formula as long as they will take it (I also start putting it in mayonaise jar lids for them to lap, remove after an hour so not to spoil. But most of my buns have eaten some formula right up to release! When they are just sarting to wean onto solids, keep it very simple, dandelion greens, clover, hay and even small amounts of old dried up grass, as in the nest this would be the first solid food they would generally be nibbling, the dried grass around their nest. The only other foods I have even given besides the things I have mentioned, is small amounts of shaved carrots and blueberries, but this is when they have been on solids for quite some time and only introduce one food at a time and wait several days to make sure there is no adverse effects from it. But again, I always keep timothy hay pellets in with them and also small amounts of old fashioned oats. Bunnies are little eating machines, but you have to feed properly to keep those machines running properly. Good luck! Miss having little buns....they are so cute!!!

Fred has a domestic bunny here, Snickers, he's 7 or 8 y/o.
Fred is a bunny digestive tract geek. I do understand about introducing new foods etc...
It makes sense since these littles are wilds that they eat what is out there in nature for them, dried grass etc..
thank you Pappy and lili
I just wish I were more experienced and not so nervous.

Awww, you're doing great! Take a deep breath (they can feel those nerves) and go in with the 'I got this' attitude and you will. I love buns....yes, they can be tough, but they are so rewarding when you see them grow up and know you did that!

I swear Jackie--you'd raise and release a stuffie if it showed up at your door. I hope to rehab bunnies this year. Little guys are born with SUCH immature digestive systems--no bacteria at all. Nothing as precious (cept a baby squirrel--or possum) and soooooo fragile. You sure are a good mama!
