And now the good news. The lady who brought those to me just called and they found 2 more a bit older at the other end of the roof they are replacing. Saidthe mother ran off and due to rain they were not waiting for the mom to return, so guess who is getting 2 more babies:D I should have listened to Jackie and kept the pedialyte! Oh well, back to Walgreens. I bought the last bottle last night, maybe I'd best go to Publix. OK group:) 2 more adoptees:wahoo Wish I knew how to do the pics, I'd take some when they get here.

I hear you Jessica! I knew you were running out of gas keeping up with the boys! I have so much going on this week, my head is spinning. Would have been nice if they had found them yesterday. Anyway, they are here and not nearly as dehydrated as the ones Simon's mom took. Just cold. Have them on the heating pad. Off to get some e-lytes.

OK all Publix had was the big orange pedialyte or the powder in the packets, so I picked up the apple flavored packets from pedialyte. No plain. How long to stay on the lytes? They were just mildly dehydrated, also, no formula for tonight, other than the Esbilac the people sent opened with the other 2 squirrels. So I know it was just opened yesterday.

No more than 24 hours on Pedialyte.
If you have no way of getting FV before you start feeding them and need to use the Esbilac...prepare it THE DAY BEFORE, place it in the fridge.
The Esbilac MUST soak for awhile in order to completely dissolve.
When you are ready to feed add the heavy whipping cream and warm it up.
IF POSSIBLE, TRY TO GET FOX VALLEY.
EDIT: Store the can of Esbilac powder in the fridge.

I dont know how spybaby does it...lol...but when i got Shiloh from her...he was a plump lil nugget that was on FV from day one-27!!!
But yes Mary, I agree with Milo's mom in maybe investing in some FV...its just so much easier then Esbilac (and cheaper in the long run) The 32/40 is like $16.00 with shipping but lasts ALONG time nad doesn't go bad...I keep mine in the freezer (it smells delicious too), and you can make the exact amount you need for a 24 hour period!

Don't forget you can make your own pedialyte:
1 tsp salt (teaspoon)
3 Tbsp sugar (tablespoon)
1 quart warm water
Keep refrigerated.
They stay on the pedialyte no more than 24 hours. Are you saying that you do have formula? If so, since these guys aren't that dehydrated, I would give formula after 3 feedings of pedialyte....is this where the finders saw the mom run away? They probably aren't really dehyrdrated much at all if mom was near.

by the time I get the FV I hope they have a new home:) Not to mention, they may not like being on electrolyte feedings for 3 days or however long it takes to get here. I did do the Esbilac with Shiloh, however I had not read the thread that said it was probably not the ideal formula. As you said, I thought he did pretty good, but as we both know he is a bit odd:D Anyway, I'm still hoping someone with more time will take the poor kids (boy and girl), but I will do my best until someone comes available. Oh, and is the powdered pedialyte OK? Hope so cause I HAVE to feed them now.

I did get the boxed pedialyte. The people who found them live across town. They are truly not badly dehydrated like the last pair. They did give me an opened can of Esbilac milk which I assume they opened yesterday (and refrigerated it). I guess they thought the babies from yesterday would just drink it:dono Anyway, I can pick up the powdered tomorrow unless someone local carries the FV.

I think that mpetys has once said that there are places in Florida that now sell FV, not sure where though...:dono
If you have the esbilac, I would give them some of that. They will be hungry and if they are pretty well hydrated...this won't be a problem.
Perhaps you should post this in the non emergency section....people will notice it more, and you may find someone who can take these little ones....or you can drive them to New York, I'll meet you half way....:rotfl

Spy baby there is always goats milk formula
3 parts goat’s milk
1 part heavy whipping cream*
1 part vanilla yogurt
Formula will last 48 hours in refrigerator
The pedialyte can be no more than 24 hours.

Now there's a good idea! I like that. Will post tomorrow on non emergency section. Know the one little one was a bit lethargic on last feeding. On my way back in to feed them.

The girls had their 2nd formula feeding this morning. Both eating well, pooping, peeing. Active girls. One had a couple of micro bugs crawling on her. What are they? Got them off and killed them. Too small for me to figure out what they were. Dont see any more but will wash all bedding today.

I am confused...I thought SSM had taken he babies..are there more?
Has anyone asked Kristin in Tarpon if she can take them?
I know she was hoping for some babies...and has her supplies in order!:thumbsup
If I have gas money at the time {somedays I do, and some days I don't}
I can try to help with the driving...I have no teeny tinys right now {hope that was not a jinx}
I also have a secret helper, Cat...she is great and near Tyrone mall in StPete..
I can try to call her if no one else has room.
I have plenty of supplies here if I can help with that..

SSM did take two, but two more were found after the delivery to SSM. These are a little bit older, eyes still closed, and at the time not as dehydrated...Poor little peanuts. Spybaby cannot keep them, she is swamped this week with other things going on...:shakehead
Thanks Jackie for the offers.:Love_Icon

OK this is what she posted last night a little after 1:00 am in Shiloh's thread:
Haven't found a home yet.:shakehead Keeping hoping something will come up soon. I am so overwhelmed with work that has to be done here, but I knew if I didn't take them what the outcome would be. I don't know, right at this point I may not be the best choice either:dono As for the "red" family, about a third of "their" tree fell last summer. I can't recall seeing any recently, but that doesnt mean they are not there. If I see one I'll get a pic. with the phone and send it

Anyway they are now at Ravenwood Vet in Port orange and DR Emerson is going to put them with 2 other little ones cuz they are all about the same size.
These two are bigger than the ones I got from spybabyr Sunday.
All is well....

Hey Kristen..as soon as I got back to my development there is a house with its roof off and a lady standing in the yard with a box in her hand. Went back after feeding my two little girls and she already sent them on to someone else .
Trust there will be plenty for you, Its not even baby season yet.
Next ones I will give you a holler ok

Thanks to everyone, especially SSM!!! The people at the Blackwater Inn are going to think we are conducting drug deals there! This is the 2nd time in 2 days SSM and I have met there. We drive up around the same time I go to my passenger side, take out a box. SSM opens her hatchback, inspects my box. Transfer items to SSMs car then we both speed off in different dicections. SSM you were right about your neighbor holding the box! Thanks again!!!! Love the pics of your girls
