I juat rescued two orphaned squirrels. A rehabber friend of mine suggested diluted goats milk after we tapered off the pedialyte. It is condensed diluted goats milk. But my little boy has been having constipation then bouts of diarrhea. It is green/yellow, deff not the typical color im used to seeing. Should I be fortifying their diets with anything else? Maybe continuing to mix the condesed goats milk with pedialyte? Or maybe with Esbilac? I want to make sure they arent being malnourished in any way. URGENT: is this a diet issue or something else too? I have only had them for a week. I am a first timer, please help.mjs

I raised my little one on esbilac but I believe it was before all the problems arose due to a new formula.
Here's the recommended solution:

Hi and welcome!:Welcome
We have many people in Tampa and there are many experts here, so please keep checking back often - i will send them PMs to direct them here.
In the meantime, could you be more specific about the goats milk formula you are using? Could you please list exactly how many part of milk how many part of water (you said diluted, right?): in other words, the exact recipe. It will help our experts assess your formula and make suggestions.
Also, about his poop - could you take a picture?... does it have a foul smell or regular smell?
How is his overall behavior? Is he active, sluggish, lethargic etc etce tc?
Also, a bit more history about him: how was he found?... in what condition? etc etc any wounds, injuries, cuts?
How about the other one?... any similar GI issues or not?
How old are they?
Could you post their photos, too?
Sometimes, green poop can be parasites, but not always.
Maybe, it might be a good idea to keep them separated just in case those are parasites, so that the other one does not get them.
BUT, make sure that each of them has a rice buddy and are on a heating pad which is set on LOW and positioned UNDER one HALF of their container.
Again, it's hard for me to suggest these things, because I don't know how old they are etc.
ALSO, NEVER MIX FORMULA WITH PEDIALYTE!
Those two should never be mixed.
You could alternate one feeding of formula one of pedi, if you need to, but never mix them.
For now, since he is having diarrhea, I would stop formula altogether, and give him pedi for a couple of feedings to stabilize him.
Diarrhea leads to dehydration and dehydration is worse than a little hunger.
So hydrate him for a few feedings.
AND PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS ABOVE and PHOTOS!
In the meantime, keep checking here often - someone experienced will be on here soon.:grouphug :grouphug :grouphug

I need more info? How long have you had these little ones? are they on Heating pad half under half off? Do not separate them. Please don't feed the Esbilac! :nono That will cause Diarrhea. You can only feed the Pedialyte for 24 hr. Then you will need to mix some apple juice and water. OR Molasses or Maple syrup and water. Are you following the instructions on the can of Goats milk? Hear is a link where you can order the FoxVally 32/40. Follow the Goats Milk recipe LittleSquirt posted above until the FV arrives. http://henryspets.com

You said he was constipated. Need more info. When did you find them? How long were they on Pedialyte? Is he still Dehydrated? When did he Pooh and How much? (When you finally got him to pooh) Is the Diarrhea full blown Diarrhea? Like watter? If it is just Pasty or Soft that is normal for after being constipated. Is their a oder? A foul smelling Pooh means something different then just Pooh smelling. Do you have any Immuodium?
