Just found a ANOTHER baby flyer on my porch.
It is alert but weak. Not sure how old...???
It's a girl! (:
I don't know how she got there.
She took some Pedialyte (:
I really hope she makes it!
Advice on what I should do next please...

she must be kept warm ... heating pad half on / half off ....

it's warm first ... hydrate second and third feed....

they can't digest without warmth and cannot digest without hydration ....

do you have mrs skuls phone number or jackies?

i'll pm you both ....

i've sent mrs skuls number... can't find jackies yet...

but at least mrs skul will give you advice...

i think the rule is warm, dark, quiet... but the most important thing is warm... (not to overheating though ...which is why the heating pad is only half under the box and only under the box not inside it).

once she's very slowly warmed up and shes taking hydration then you can breathe easier and then ? a couple of hours... I"m not sure depends also when she last ate and if she's starving or not... then very diluted fox valley maybe 3 water to one part in the first feeding and then 2 to one in the second watching her very closely for bloat.....

hopefully someone will be on soon or you will talk to either jackie or mrs skul... i think anne has experience with flyers too but i don't have her phone number.

I kind of think 3 to 1 for the first two to three.
They get some nutrician and fluids at the same time their body adapts to the FV.
You can try the 2 to 1 if you wish, we just feel it best to run a little diluted to start.
When you do go to the 2 to 1, you can also mix in half part of natural yogurt.
As she adapts, move toward one part yogurt in the mix.

:wave123 Hi Mrgntrusdl
How is the Little Flyers doing? They must have lost their Mom if they are coming out. Keep looking and Listing for Babies. They can have up to 4. Here is how you need to be mixing the FoxVally Formula. Good Luck :thumbsup3
FoxVally 32/40 is the best for Flyers. Feed this the whole time NOT CHANGING to 20/50! :nono You need to mix
2 TBS Water
1TBS FoxVally
1/2 tsp Full Fat Vanilla Yogurt
1 TBS Heavy Whipping Cream
Be sure to mix the Cream in Last, after the other 3 ingredients are mixed well. :D
It will turn to Butter Chunks and they will not get the right amount of Fat in each Syringe.
I am sending/PM you My Phone Number. Call if you Need anything. :thumbsup5
PS
I am guessing it is 4 to 5 weeks old. It is skinny. Can you get a weight on it?
Do you have a Small Cage to put it in? It will eat the box at this age. :rotfl

Little baby didint make it.
I had her in a fleece bonding pouch.
She seemed to be fine, very alert.
She was drinking Pedilyte just fine.
I got up this morning around 6 to try some FV.
But she was gone. :(
I think my cats brought her to the porch.
So thats probally why she didin't make it.
There's something with a cats scratch or bite that kills them right???
Anyways, I tried. I'm very sad, such a little cutie.

Mrgntrusdl I am so sorry she did not make it. :grouphug
Thank you for caring for her.

PS
With the cat there. If and when you find anymore Squirrels. :thinking They should be put on Antibiotic as soon as Possible. (Baytril is best for cat bites.)
Do you have any on Hand? Can you get some? :dono

Yes, cat saliva can be deadly to lots of critters. It gets into the bloodstream and they can go down very quickly. Even if there are no visible injuries, if a cat was involved, it is always best to start antibiotics to be safe. I am very sorry this little one did not make it. RIP sweet baby.

I WANT SOME!!! Where can I get it? I'm always paranoid about my cats, I have 4 OF THEM!!! So just in case something we're to go wrong. I'm pretty cautious about my flyers when there out of their cage but if I get anymore suprises on my porch maybe it could make a difference. (:
