Hey guys. Twiggy (a ~2.5 year old female) ate a piece of double bubble bubblegum sometime yesterday afternoon. I didn't notice the wrapper & crumbs until I was heading to bed, an hour or so after putting her back in her cage. We keep all our snacks and such put away.. so I'm not really sure where she got it. (I'm assuming in a jacket pocket somewhere.) :dono
Should I be worried? What should I be looking for? What should I do?
Thanks.

Hopefully the amount is small...and will pass uneventfully.Be on the LOOK-OUT for PINK POOPS.
Bubble gum won't kill your squirrel. A huge load of sugar though that is not good.
The gum will pass just as it does in a small child who swallows it. Just keep an eye on her because of the sugar. Squirrels get into everything-time to do pocket checks, etc!

My brother used to let his little kids have bubble gum  I know, I know, this was back in the days of innocence when "kids are only kids once". But when I expressed alarm, he said it was OK if they swallowed it they would just poop it out.

Thanks for the replies! She's been acting fine.. still playful & energetic. I got a little scared when I googled something along the lines of "gum and squirrels" & there were a few pages about killing squirrels with gum! :(
