A Quick Question about a new cage???

Hello everyone....
I have a found a spare cage for my Skeeter!!!!! I found it on Craigslist. Now, the person had ferrets, so when I clean it, how do I sanitize it properly?? Can I spray it down with alcohol? Or is just cleaning it good enough or is it not enough?
Any thoughts would be appreciated....

I have not tried this, but I'm pretty sure I read here that Listerine is good to clean and not toxic. Maybe search for Listerine?

I always clean with a 10% bleach solution and water. Scrub really good, rinse and let it dry for a couple hours in the sun.:)

I use a spray bottle with white vinegar/spray let it set for about 10 15 minutes hose off :thumbsup oh depending where you are using a garden hose might be a problem this time of year....but then you could go ice skating :multi

Water/bleach is best, then hose it down.

(She's down this way, CC, hoses don't freeze.):D

Hahaha, Thanks all, but I am in New Jersey, so yes, ice skating would be the issue here. But I will use the bleach/water mixture and let stand to dry, then I will fix her second home up for her. :D
