I need an experienced TSB member to care for two juvenile squirrels for 10-12days.

I estimate them to be about 12 weeks old, Max and Nussi.
Max was having seizures likely due to MBD from a poor diet.
They are both beautiful and sweet and low maintenance.
Max is stable now, so as long as they are fed correcty and given their calcium I don't foresee any problems.
I can provide the calcium, blocks, produce, cage and accessories :D

I had not planned to take any new rehabs until after my trip so I'm in a jam!
I would not be able to really relax unless I know all my babies are well cared for while I am gone. :shakehead

well babe looks like you'll have to bring them to the gathering and put them on the share table.:D
How much out of cage time do you give them? Mean while I'll ask again.

You are hilarious....but that's a good backup plan :thumbsup

I wanted to make a new thread for this request since it probably would not be noticed on the other one.

Don't worry yet...I am optimistic :peace

I have not given them any out of cage time yet because I am nervous about them getting hurt since their bones may be brittle.

Their cage is like a padded cell I put so much fleece in there :sanp3

I moved them into a cage that's about 4'x4' so they can still jump around quite a bit without risk of injury.

What time frame are you looking to "loan 'em" out? I'm currently without indoor squirrels.

It would be from Tuesday 2/14 to Tuesday 2/28.
They could actually go sooner, anytime now really if you're jonesin for some squirrels :Love_Icon :D :Love_Icon

I'm always looking for a squirrel "fix". My husband is another issue but he will be out of town on business (hopefully) most of that time.

I work 3-11 four nights a week but my boomerang son is usually home and he helps with the squirrels...would that be okay?

That would be fine, they are pretty independent and won't take the syringe anymore.
I have been giving them FV in a dish in the morning and afternoon.
It's really just a matter of feeding them and maintaining the cage,
and making sure they are getting the calcium daily.

Would Jan 29, 30, or 31st be soon enough? and would any of those days work for an exchange?

:thumbsup That's great, thank you SO much!
I'm off on Tuesday's so the 31st would be ideal.

Oh boy squirrels!:multi :multi

I know you said they don't get any out of cage time yet, but do you still get to hold them any?

Well, I just got them a few days ago, so I want them to feel at home in their new home before I let them out, otherwise they may not go back in :D
Also, to be cautious about them getting hurt for right now.

They are not scared, and act quite calm even when I'm around making noise doing housework.
For now I pet them and hand play when I am working in the cage, and they are friendly.
They don't like being picked up, though that's pretty normal for that age, since they are still unsure abuout me.
