thanks for tracing it, bosssquirrel, but this recipe is old.
It has been revised and simplified several times since then.
So, it will be best to contact Leigh directly for the updated version.:)

That was not the latest version. The recipe I was using did not have wheat bran in it and it did have vanilla extract.

One thing I have a question about is if the amount of vitamins and minerals have changed. Below is the vitamin and moneral chart that came with the recipe I was using. In light of the fact that Dr. Calvert is now saying that a squirrel would not need 330 mg of calcium per day (unless maybe a lactating female would) and on 12/06, Leigh said she would contact Dr. Calvert about this and I haven't seen an update, I am concerned that the vitamin and mineral list and quantities that I have may no longer be correct. I was going to post this question in the thread that was started to discuss this issue but I couldn't find it; it seems to have disappeared.

While I no longer am able to provide HHB's to all 29 squirrels in my care, I would like to continue feeding them to my 3 NR's, but with the correct vitamin and mineral amounts. I am hoping that Leigh can confirm if this chart I have is still being used or if it has been updated. I've got aout $200 invested in vitamins and minerals from the health food store!

because of her...many sqs have survived...that I know 100%...

Awareness and devotion even if you dislike HHBs.

Why should they be able to take away MY RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHAT I WANT TO FEED? I HATE POLITICS! It does not belong here......we all want what is best for squirrels. We don't have to agree on everything, but giving people options to make up what they want to do is how it should be. I really hope Leigh will reconsider and come back. She is NEEDED here.

For sure. And for the record I did my best to talk her out of leaving, but her peace of mind and the safety of her livelihood (Henryspets.com) was more important to her. Can't blame her there.

It is very sad and unfortunate that Leigh felt threatened enough to leave TSB, especially when we are all here for the squirrels. Don't get me wrong I enjoy talking to other people that love the little fuzzers as much as I do, but the truth is I am here for the fuzzers...not the people (sorry)...that's sounds just awful doesn't it.:thinking :tilt Hopefully you all know what I mean.
In the meantime, I can only hope and pray that someday Leigh feels safe enough to return...missing her till then.:Love_Icon

MM....completely agree with you! I just don't understand why people think they are doing 'the right thing' by doing this. Makes me so angry. If you don't like them, don't feed them, end of story. I don't know what is being said, but really people....high school ended a long time ago. GROW UP. You don't have to agree, you don't have to feed it, or endorse it. But the right to choose should NOT be taken away because some don't agree with it.
