I have been trying to keep the poo in one place..Is this possible? Seems about a month ago I had put her food bowl up higher in her cage, with an accomidating shelf below it. My girl now pees and poos while she eating and it is becoming a mess. I have tried putting a large stainless steel bowl in there filled with Yesterday's News litter, with bits of her soiled paper so she smells it, she just buries her things in it. Also, keeping one corner of the cage with newspaper shreds, but still seems to be all over. I clean it regularly, but would love to know what some of you do for this??
Any suggestions would be great. :)

They kind of do what they want when they want. Dusty pooped in my shoe last night....while I was wearing it. My older ones uses a litter box with aspen or or carefresh in it. Some people have luck with litter boxes other people are used as litter boxes as well as everything around them. Keep lots of tissues or paper towels handy and some miracle stain remover.

I have been using piddle pads that they sell for dogs. I get the small size with the "dry" outerlayer. She's always had a problem with peeing on my counter and now she goes on it pretty much of the time. While she's squatting, I tell her she's a good girl and she seems to understand. the little poops, on the other hand, are every where. I don't think that is controllable.

Dog pads are dangerous for squirrels and other small pets!

I would never think to use doggy pads, they have toxins in them...With the way squirrels eat and chew everything, I wouldnt take that chance.
I will just keep doing what I am doing. :thankyou
