YUP....thought the same thing!
So it appears that you are raising this squirrel for release. Him and his sister have already escaped, and she may have been gotten by a cat.
Are you prepared to overwinter?
Do you have the proper cage?
Do you know how costly it is to feed a squirrel properly.
Do you think he/she would be better off with buddies, if that is at all possible?
Where will you release him/her?
Can you offer him out of the cage time?
Your squirrel has multiple issues going on. Do you know how his paw was injured? Do you know why his private area is inflamed? Do you know why he is peeing on himself?
WOW, and an offer was made by an experienced rehabber close to Addy5 to take the squirrel for treatment and return him…..and Addy5 declined.
Speaks volumes to me….:shakehead
