There shouldn't be any reason not to feed a little Jicama. It is low calorie, high fiber, and if fed fresh, contains lots of fluids. It is a root, so wash it well and peel it. It comes from Mexico and who knows what they use for fertilizer! As with any new food, just offer a little bit to begin with and watch for adverse reactions, but it is a mild food.
