Can I give Nelly peanut butter?

Very little, but it really is better to stay away from peanuts. They are one of the things that really reduces the bodies ability to absorb the much needed calcium. Why are you wanting to give peanut butter?

She is getting to where she does not want much of her milk and babyfood so I was just thinking of other things to give her.

How old is she and what formula does she get? It sounds like she should probably be offered rodent block.

If you grind almost any nut in a food processor long enough you will get the "butter" constancy...

Nelly is about 9 or 10 weeks old. She is on puppy replacement milk, babyfood, and baby rice cereal mixed. She also gets mini wheat cereal, honey nut cheerios, pecans, sweet potatoes, broccoli, acorns, and bread

Oh dear! Nellie needs some work on her diet. She definitely needs rodent block and the cereal is not good. Check out the healthy diet threads and she will be a whole lot better off!

PetCo sells the Kay-Tee Forti Diet for Rats & Mice.
Mazuri and Zupreem products can be ordered online at www.squirrelsandmore.com.
MANY feed stores and country supply stores carry Mazuri rodent blocks.
Henry's Healthy Blocks (HHB's) can be ordered from henryspets.com, or you can make them yourself form the recipe in the nutrition forum. :)

I just have deck squirrels and don't know a lot about squirrels. So, I can't answer your quiestion but I thought I'd tell something cute I noticed the other day. One of our deck squirrels ransacked the recycle bin (don't know how he got in-he must be Hercules!) I looked out the window and saw him running across the fence with a WHOLE jar of peanut butter! I clean out the jars and recycle them so it was empty and the lid was on but he had it anyway. I don't know how the little guy managed to carry the jar that was almost as big as him, in his mouth while negotiating running across the fence! I wonder how long he tried to get inside it before he gave up! :crazy
They LOVE peanut buttter and I give out little peanut butter sandwiches once a week as a treat. I know they would eat it everyday, they love peanut butter so much! I wish I could have snagged a pic of little dude with his big jar of peanut butter! I need to carry my camera around my neck at all times so I'm always prepared to catch those funny pics!

Petsmart sells the Mazuri blocks but only in smaller bags. My feed store is supposed to be checking on pricing for the Mazuri blocks in a larger bag. I think they said they could get it in 50 lb bags!
