At what age do you add a water bowl? Also when do I start introducing veggies? They are chewing rat blocks to a million tiny pieces and eating some of it. They are 8 or 9 wks old. Their eyes opened around the 1st of November. They are eating 9mls every 5 hrs and some yogurt once a day.

I would not give them a bowl because they tend to breath it in and it could cause aspiration, even at a later age. Use the water bottles for rabbits. I bought some from Walmart and some from a really high scale pet store and Walmart's water bottles are the best. They never leak and the water never gets stuck where the squirrels can't get it out. The expensive ones do and I can't stand them.

They might not get it right away but if you leave it there, eventually they will. I've had some get it right away and some it took weeks to get. If they are getting the right amount of formula then they are getting hydrated and really don't need the water. I put the water bottles up a couple of weeks after they open their eyes and usually about 10 - 12 weeks they will be drinking out of it. I feel better with them using the water bottles because the chances of them breathing that in through their nose is a lot less. Good luck...
