I am sure you have already done this but... check where he was sleeping all day. Pick up the bedding and shake it out , etc. If no poop in a few hours you can mix a little canned pumpkin ( not the pie filling with spices and sugar added just the reg. Libby's canned pumpkin) in his Ensure to add fiber. Also could give him a few pecans or walnut (shelled) pieces also to add more fiber. If nothing after that then we will go to plan B. I am looking for plan B now.:thinking

******I have amended this suggestion in the next post.

Also, do you feel he is bloated. Is his tummy hard to the touch?? Or is it soft? Did he eat much yesterday? I should have asked these questions first. If you feel he is bloated you really should not feed high fiber foods. You must resolve the bloat first. (If you feel it is bloat)

Marci, first things first.
Can you pick up Buddy?? ( will he let you)
Check his belly....any bloating?? Does it feel hard??
Maybe a touch of karo syrup in his formula??
Worked with my human babies.
Is he energetic?? Is he eating???

I don't know if you want to chance any new treatment with Buddy. Can you get a hold of your Vet?? If you feel there is any bloating you can also use Infant's Gas-X Drops. The dose for Buddy (75-78 grams ??) is suggested to be 0.15 ml . Really a very small amount. Mineral oil and/or Laxatone has also been suggested by my Vet for baby squirrels. I would need to look that dosing info up. I do worry since Buddy is fragile in his health .Has this happened before? I really think I would just consult your Vet first.

**Jo-schmoe I wish someone was in my brain... actually thinking before speaking!!:nono

Does he have a water bottle? Can you check to make sure water is still coming out? I am a water bottle freak after I lost a beautiful quaker parrot to dehydration when the water bottle got stopped up. Just an off chance, but I have to throw that out there. :grouphug :grouphug

He finally nibbled on a pitless prune and I saw 2 little ones in his litter box in my office. I did not feel like going to the market for one can of pumpkin, it is pouring here.

:wahoo

I will keep everyone posted and if he continues to go, I will start posting back on my other thread for him.

Thanks for all your help!

Today some more activity!

I have been force feeding :) prunes and other fiberous fruits and veggies.

Jo_Schmoe and I think it could be due to the Nuflor (he got another dose today) and his lack of Ensure (his last drink was on Monday). He did have a bit today mixed with the Nuflor 'cause it is nasty!

Just wondering.
Is Buddy getting any pro-biotics?:thinking
AB's do tend to hard on the natural flora of the digestive tract.

Hi Marci,
I am trying to litter train my girl, but I fail I have failed at a few things.
Not sure what I can do, just figured it would be a life of cleaning little turds all the time. But I never give up on thinking of ideas? I have changed up her diet a bit, but nothing drastic, and now she sits on her shelf with the food bowl and pee pees and poos there all the time?? Among the rest of her cage?? I plan on covering the shelf with some flannel/fleece pieces I will make to fit and just change them up.
What do you do? Any other suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. :)
