I am so thankful to this board for helping me with a pneumonia crisis that we successfully got through that I would like to extend myself to anyone in these areas that may need ABs for their squirrel rescues. How do I get myself on a list for these areas as a contact in case of need?

I live in Costa Rica now... but I moved here in 2008 from Bonita Springs , Florida-where I lived OFF & ON since 1971
We have a Costa Rican Variegated Tri-Color Tree Squirrel---Rama Rota is his name.

Dang. I forgot to mention Bonita Springs and Estero. Thanks for reminding me of these areas.

Pennyorf that's a wonderful offer! Can you move up to NYC? We need rehabbers soooo badly :D. Anyway, there is no formal way to 'list yourself' as willing to help, but if you're on here regularly you'll see that we try to put the general location in each Emergency thread, for example "Help Needed = OCALA!" Watch for your general area when there's a plea for help...or even if someone isn't near you they might need antibiotics NOW and you can help that way. :thumbsup

Also, another thing to keep in mind is that the more active you are on here, the more people see you, they will be more likely to think of you, to remember you if there is a need in your area.

I have found that once you let it be known that you want to help, sooner or later, you will be called upon!
