I just noticed this AM, that my 2 Welsummers have these round scabs on their faces. I googled it and I'm pretty sure its pox. But there are several kinds, so I'm not sure how to treat. I read that if one has it, they all do, so no use separating them now. They all need to be treated. I am hoping the Welsummers recover, they are young, only 5 months. Worried about my two 5 year old black stars.
I called several feed places today and tried contacting the 2 friends I know in my area looking for a vet, but got nothing.
Does anyone know a mobile chicken vet in the Los Angeles area? I know it's a long shot. Backyard farming is becoming more popular here, but when it comes down to it...us city folk have a long way to go, I am learning.
I didn't get any pics this AM, I will take some in the morning. If anyone has any chicken advice on *The Squirrel Board*...I will love you forever and ever. Well, Ok..I already do!!
