Hi,
I am very new to The Squirrel Board and hope I am at the right place. My name is Taylor and I found your site while researching squirrel rehab sources in Memphis, TN. 3 days ago, my neighbor brought me a baby male squirrel, as I try to help any animal when and where I can. He is about around 6-7 weeks old, as best I can tell. Tree cutters next door realized there was a nest in the branch to be cut after the fact and saw the baby squirrel still hanging on the the branches. He had been out there for a few hours with no mother returning for him. I brought him in and kept him warm and hydrated with Pedialyte the first 24 hours and then started him on Esbilac puppy formula every four hours as he responded well to this and is active and alert when he is awake. He is urinating and defacating as well. I think he is ok at the moment, but I am not experienced in the care and feeding of baby squirrels and can not care for him until he is able to be released back into the wild. I am needing to find a place for him in Memphis, TN in the next day or 2 and am hoping someone on here can take him. I hope I am in the right spot or someone can direct me to someone who can help me. Thank you! My email is silvercharm28@gmail.com.
