how much motrin should i give my baby skrat, she had an accident with my 7 yr old grandaughter this afternoon and about 1 inch of the end of her tail was severed. the bone is still intact, but the skin and hair were completely cut off. the vet told me to keep neosporin plus on her tail twice a day for 3 days. he didnt reccomend anything for pain. all afternoon she acted fine, but tonight she keeps waking up (which is not normal for her so im sure she is in pain).

1 drop from a 1cc syringe should be fine for PAIN....... :thumbsup
that's one drop ..... not one cc.....:grouphug.... so just one drop ...
and SBM ...this happens alot!!! the bone might just fall off ... squirrel tails break off really easily so they can escape predators....
and please, please remember this is INFANT motrin!!!! nothing stronger should be used.....
also i think that neosporin helps with pain too.....

thank you to everyone who gave me their advice!!!! i gave her 1 drop of motrin and she slept through the rest of the night. this morning she shows no sign of pain! she is alert, full of energy and ready to come out of her home(a large cage we made) to play in the living room for the day!!!!:thankyou
