I have had a flying squirrel come to my bird feeder every night for months now and it has not been here in a few days. I wondered if you know if this could be normal with maybe nuts on the ground now? I am fearing the worst. :( Do they prefer acorns over sunflower seed? Thanks!

:dono could be normal ... he might have just moved on for the winter... they also like insects/bugs/cooked chicken breast etc... maybe it's time for him to move from birdseed.

thanks for responding so quick. I am sure missing him and will keep watching for him to return. I got too attached I guess. Laurie

if you want go on the flyer threads here (they have their own forum) and you can learn more about them and what they like to eat.....
