today at 1:00pm my baby Sadie was eating some formula...and she must have ate a little too fast and seemed to have aspirted some...I didn't see any come out her nose but i did hold her upside down for a minute....she seemed ok afterward....went and ate some pumpkin seeds :-)....does aspiration pnemonia always occur...how will I know if i need to Medicate her? I always just put a little on her lips at a time but now that she is getting older she's getting more aggressive (not mean) with her feedings...and tries to put rhe whole thing in her mouth...

More than likely this will NOT cause aspiration pneumonia. Just to be sure, hold her up against your ear a few times over the next 24 hrs and listen for clicking, popping or wheezing sounds on both the inhale and exhale. (An occasional "pfft!" is nothing to worry about.) Also watch for a diminishing appetite and lethargy.
Try to hold back the plunger of the syringe between 2 fingers when you feed her, so that she cannot Hoover up the entire contents........:D

Listen to her breathing. If she starts clicking with every breath then you have a problem.
No is does not occur EVERY time, but make sure you listen to her breathing.
Other members will also have some advice for you soon.
EDIT: and some of them have already posted. :-)
