does anyone know how long at what temp you bake pumpkin seeds?

Out of the shell or in? I cook mine in the shell for about 15-20 minutes at 350. Turn over half way through.

I had heard that you have to be careful not to give animals too much pumpkin, that it is used for constipation? I don't know if that is correct though, it was just something I found somewhere on the net. With pumpkin seeds is there a general rule for how much is ok to feed your squirrels?

i'd think that the rule would be pretty much the same as about nuts and seeds in general: just a treat, because the staples should still consist of blocks, good veggies, wild foods.

and yes, pumpkin does relieve constipation

Not sure if it is true in squirrels, but pumpkin also relieves diarrhea in dogs as well as constipation.

however I am not so sure I would use seeds for this...:rotfl

they are meant to be fed as a treat only...as Astra has stated...NOT a staple.

I have found feeding any seeds will make aggresive sqs...jmo
