BEFORE I GIVE MY SQUIRREL STRAW OR HAY BAIL I WANTED TO MAKE SURE ITS FINE TOO AND ALAO WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE SHE USE TO EAT THE SEADS OUT OF THE PUMKIN,SHOULD I NOT LET HER HAVE ANY LIKE THAT RIGHT? SHE HASNT HAD THEM SINCE THANKS

sorry, your post must have gotten lost in the past few very busy and stressful weeks here.
But if you are still looking for an answer:

straw or hay to eat or as nest material?

they don't eat straw/hay.

It's not good as nest material either because of possible mold and aflatoxins dangers. You can use as nest materials: fleece, shredded paper, carefresh.

Pumpkin seeds are ok as an occasional treat only.
Her diet should consist of blocks +good green veggies +safe wild foods + treats only: a piece of fruit, a nut or two. Pumpkin seeds are ok as a treat once in a while. No sunflower seeds, no bird seeds or any of that at all.
