My name is Iwonka and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I am an animal lover in general but since last spring I have fallen totally in love with squirrels. It was my daughter's friend who works at the SPCA in Montreal that introduced me to orphans squirrels for the first time. I have also been fortunate in making contact through the web with an extraordinary lady, a NY State Wildlife Rehabber, who shared with me all her knowledge on taking care of squirrels and for this I will never be able to thank her enough.
This year has been full of emotions .. some good and some sad but on the end, with the help of friends we were able to save almost 70 babies all from the SPCA.
This work has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people!! Some of these people have become friends and many of them want to help take care of any needy squirrel again next year.
Now the season ends .. I am tired, my hands are bitten and scratched and I am HAPPY!! :Love_Icon
