Hi ladies,
My baby Theodore is 9 weeks and all grown :( he's only drinking his formula in the mornings now. He's been eating whole nuts, fruits veggies, squirrel blocks anything else I should be giving him? He won't drink from his hanging water bottle either.tips!?
Thanks!

I don't see anything wrong except that he's not all grown up.

Is he drinking? Hanging water bottles are OK, they'll figure out how to drink from standing water just fine, thirst does a lot for the learning curve.

Nine weeks is about 12 years old in human terms, so figure he's defining himself, deciding what he likes and doesn't. Learning new stuff (how to drink from a bowl or whatever else you're giving him), what foods he likes, or doesn't.

There's tons more stuff, questions and suggestions, but this is a start before someone with real experience jumps in (and I've had this half typed for a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's already there).

So, basic questions to answer: Is he drinking any water at all? How?

Other than that, he sounds fine and play with him as much as you can and have a great time and love that little guy like mad. Someday he'll wild up and move out. A month after that, you'll be cleaning and find nuts under the couch and know exactly how they got there.

(I'll resist taking exception to the "Ladies" comment :P )

Don't figure he's "All grown up" until he's at least 4 months old (more editing, 4 months isn't even close, glean the good stuff, leave the noob stuff). Even then, you'll still be Mom and responsible for the stuff the 18 year old that just moved out didn't think of.

When Marcus would't drink from bottle, I got a very small crock bowl. Put a few small pebbles in it, so the water wasn't so deep, and he couldn't dunk his head in it or get it up his nose. He sneezed a couple times, but does just fine now..and no stones either!

Try offering his formula in a small crock dish (a heavy one he can't tip over). I find by this age, they kind of stop wanting the syringe, but if you can get them to take it from a dish, they will for quite some time (I usually will mix a bit a full fat yogurt in to make it a little thicker and easy for them to learn to lap up.)

Hmm, just occurred to me, but mine LOVED YOUGHURT.

I mean loved.

There were no words to describe her affection for the stuff.

High fat, none of that low fat stuff they sell (good luck finding it, it'll be in refridgerated baby stuff).

FV + Plain yoghurt + granola. It's a hilarious mess, covered from neck to ears, but it's good, good for them, and they can't get enough of it.
