Hello,
I am Katie. I have quite a number of pets including a Bearded Dragon, 7 Degus, an army of gerbils, and a pair of Southern Flying Squirrels. I'm excited that I will be getting another baby flying squirrel next month, plus a two breeding trios.

They are two years old now, and were born in the Fall of 2009. They are amazing pets! Although I've had them for two years, they've never reproduced. I'm hoping that they eventually will. I haven't figured out if something is wrong with their diet or some environmental factor like light, temperature or something of the sort is affecting their ability to breed.
This site has been very informative, and its also a very active board, which is awesome. I'm looking forward to learning more about my SFS.
I've also been slowly compiling information about Southern Flying Squirrels as pets and have been uploading the information onto my website. Hopefully in time I will have a very useful resource on their care.
