About nine months it seems there is darker, coarser fur and a little swelling and then from then on it gets bigger, and bigger, and BIGGER, well. . . you get the picture. One of my guys got so big he could not sit down during mating season.

So then after mating season they shrink down again to about the size of an almond (in a shell). Now here is Jimmy resting his on an ice cold piece of avocado:

If I'm not mistaken, the avocado got its name in Spanish because it resembles a testicle...how appropriate :D

:thumbsup I saw a wild this year with his ying-yangs hanging so long and low that when he stood up tall on his back feet, they almost touched his ankles!

Grayson had his pretty big and black while I still had him over the winter. I just can't remember when the swelling began and when he started to get "full" down there, even before they were "fully" functional and large!! :D

OK, all jokes aside. When does the swelling start about?

Could one of my males be starting to get them [~8 wks old]? He has a small bump exactly there and I need to know if I need to worry or if this is just normal.
