I just purchased a critter nation cage and I love it - got it from hayneedle for $239 including shipping. Henry's Healthy Pet has a really nice one, too. My squirrels love the critter nation, they have already started climbing to the second level - they are about 7-8 weeks, too.
I have the heating pad in just one corner and I let them decide if they still need it :tilt

I have 5 of the Henry's House cages and love them. I love that the plastic tray is underneath the cage bottom not inside. If you have chewers that could be a problem. It has feeder doors on the right side and the left side and five on the front. You will need to use some sort of clips to secure those as they will learn how to open them. This is not an invonvenience at all. Once the clips are in place, no worries. And those doors come in handy, especially if you have more than one squirrel in there and just want to remove one without all of them coming out when you open the main door. This is mainly a concern when you have young ones as I would not house more than 2 adults in one. Three of my NR's have their own Henry's House.

One disadvantage is you can't order extra shelves. But it is easy enough to add a wood shelf to it or if you don't like them peeing on the wood, then you can do what I do. I use cooling racks from Restaurant Depot as shelves.
