Hey! I have a rescued squirrel named RJ. I think he is about 7 weeks old if he opened his eyes at 5 weeks. I have had him 3 weeks and is doing great. I do have one concern which is his right front paw...he wants to walk on his knuckles instead of his paw. The left foot he walks on properly. I am a nurse and have been doing range of motion exercises with it. He tolerates this well and when feeling it you can not feel any bumps or knots. He does use it well when holding food to nibble on. The only thing I can think of is when he and his brother (who didnt make it) fell from tree he may have broke it at the wrist then and since becoming mobile is when I noticed it. Any suggestions?

I'm hoping you get some experenced replies on his condition, can you post a picture? You said he uses it well to eat food?? :thinking Does that mean he can use / stretch out the fingers to hold his food?

Yes...he can stretch out his fingers and holds his food well. Its just when he walks he walks on his knuckles and when he climbs he doesnt hold on to things as well as he should. Just concerned for him and dont want to turn him back out in the wild if we cant fix it.
