I have a six week old that has suddenly stopped urinating. tried to make him go a few times this morning and finally had to do a cystotomy this morning and removed a very large amount of urine. he came to us with a large lump on his head and had siezures for the first few days we had him, but the seizures have stopped and the lump seems to be getting smaller. we have fed him fox valley since we got him and he hasnt shown any others signs that he has trouble urinating. Any ideas of what his problem could be?

It could be a stone or blockage in his penis. He will need to be seen by a vet, and see if they can get a cath in. Metacam for pain (and to see if it will help with swelling.) Sending prayers.

Did they do an ultrasound to look for a blockage?

They can. They can also have sometihng there when they are born, that as they grow the stricture blocks off the penis. Unfortunately, I went through this with Furter, a little one I had raised from a pinky. I had to have him put down, as they could not clear the blockage or get a cath. in. But he should have an ultrasound to look for anything they could clear out with meds.
