I use a Vics Vaporizer $15 from the baby food aisle in Publix or Walmart, Walgreens etc...
I put the vaporizer and the baby container under a big fleece blankey, I put vics vapor rub on the inside of the blanket...I make it a big tent so the steam rolls.
works like a charm.
add a dab of probotics to his formula...I know you use yogurt:thumbsup

you can give the first dose as a loading dose at .03ml
and .02ml twice a day for 5-7 days.

Need a little advice on the BLOATING NOW!!

this little guy keeps on bloating UP really bad after he is feed (pedialyte) and this last time he was like 2x his size.....
I cannot go the entire night with out giving him any ting as he is badly emaciated and dehydrated as it it

--Any Suggestions at keeping the Bloating to a minimum until it is over?

Soaking him every two/three hours in warm water seem to help reduce his belly, but hydrating him sends it right back up.

He sounds bad. I know with these really sick ones, Jackie says go drop by drop. Their little systems just can't take a whole cc of anything.

Good luck.:grouphug

Good luck.:grouphugYeah - I only gave him .5 cc of pedialyte at his last feeding since the 1cc seemed to really bloat him up, but I am afraid of not keeping him hydrated enough....
and I dont want to get him wet from having to soak him two hours after every feeding (basically every 3 hrs) as he has pneumonia on top of every thing else.

Thanks for the advice.... :Love_Icon

also simethicone helps with bloating...I got a sister, niece and a daughter-in-law that are Nurses (they can do it or instruct - if needed) and I did give him some Infant Gas X earlier --Thx.

The lady that had him said he had not pooped with in the 36 hours she had him, and I can only get tiny droplets off him at a time.

I hope he made it through the night for you. I am glad she called me because I knew exactly where to take him, actually 2 people that I know are awesome to save babies and you are one of them. My other squirrel miracle rescuer is Jackie, but it takes me a while to get to her house! Don't think this baby could have made the trip. Thanks for helping him, when I picked him up I just knew by looking at him that this was not going to be an easy save!

Rhapsody, Bean bloated 7 times in her first 10 days with us. Jodi actually had to tube her, she could not go slow enough to have her either bloat or blow it out her nose. That girl had ALOT of problems. I am telling you now, with all the issues already, go to the goats milk and greek full fat yogurt when it is time for formula. And I would get some sub-qs in him.

Thanks to everyone that was there for ME and ROCKY last night during our time of need....... Rocky made it thru the night (:wahoo :wahoo ) with me giving him .5cc of pedialyte
every 3 hours and soaking him in warm water every few hours to keep his big bloated belly down to a small size....... :thumbsup

I will keep him on small amounts of pedialyte for the rest of his 24 hours, on a heating pad and of course on the Cipro 2x a day for 5-7 days for the pneumonia and leg wound.

ROCKY --was named by my husband, because this little guy is a fighter.
