I also have one cephalexin 250mg capsule from about a month ago when my dog ripped his toe nail off. Which one would b better? I would rather use the SMZ since it was given to me for lila!

Okay Katie, I know the freaking out feeling too well...
I am not going to be able to give the answer, but I did wonder if the fluid from her nose is clear? Does she seem to be otherwise acting normal?
The experts will be along soon I am sure!:grouphug

Yes ma'am its clear and not a lot just enough to wet her little nose! Sorry I'm freaking I just don't want anything to happen to her! And yes ma'am she is acting normal other wise. She is climbing on me as I sit in the chair right now. Sneezing a tiny bit every now and them but eating and potting well!

Having had this sort of freak out myself, let me say from experience "Stop It!":D
If she is not clicking or having any other worrisome symptoms, wait for an expert to say "It's time to freak out!". Did you use anything different? Laundry soap, air freshener, candle, fabric softener? Different bedding? Something may just be irritating her little schnozola...causing t to run:jump

Lol I'm trying! Hahaha and I haven't used anything different. She is playing in my hair right now and seems perfectly fine other than the runny nose! Ok gonna calm down now! Lol

don't be silly!!!!! You are being a worried mommy and only that!:grouphug :Love_Icon :) And rightfully so! Sometimes, serious issues start as something seemingly innocent and unimportant. It's better to raise alarm than have regrets of "should have"s later, you know.
So, you don't have to apologize at all!:nono :)
That's how loving worried mommies are and should be!:grouphug :Love_Icon :)
So, let's see who will respond sooner!

Is she sneezing, or pawing at her nose at all? How is her breathing, does it seem the same as always, or does it seem like she is working harder to breath? Clear is good. How is she eating, does she have difficulty eating (does she have to stop to take breaths?)

She is sneezing some. Eating fine and not pawing at her nose! It hasen't sounded stopped up since this morning but has been running and as she sits on my shoulder right now she sounds just a little conjested. Doesn't seen to have any trouble breathing but the stuffy/runny nose and the sneezing! I wish i could explain the sound better but the only thing I can compare it to is when my boys were babies and would get stuffy. :dono no clicking or anything like that! She just tore up a rodent block so I would say her appatite is fine and I weigh her every other day now and she is still gaining! I don't know what it could be! Thanks for all the help!

hi there: think carefully about anything that has changed in the house. Did you switch laundry detergents, dish soap, hair products, perfume? Did you light a scented candle somewhere? Glade Plug-In? Are you using dryer sheets? All these can affect a squirrel's upper respiratory systems and they will "pffft!" all night long.
If it's not any of these things you may want to start her on a preventative course of ABX just in case -- SMZ-TMP would be good for this.

Yes ma'am I have thought about all of this stuff and I haven't changed anything. Wash her bedding the same way as always I don't wear perfume same lotion, soap, shampoo ect as always. No candels and I don't even have plugins. I don't know what could have caused this. She is sleeping on my shoulder right now and I don't hear anything while she is breathing. But everytime i put my finger on her little nose it comes away damp and i can see a little clear liquid when I look at it. If you think I should start the SMZ I will do it right now I just need to know how much to give her. She weighs 190 grams as of this morning! Thank you so much for everything yall have done for me on the journey with Lila I know I couldn't have made it this far with out everyone here at TSB!:thankyou :bowdown :Love_Icon :Love_Icon :Love_Icon

Omg the bottle of SMZ I have it said to give her .05cc twice a day and since she was only 74grams then I called my cousin that is a vet tech and since she has over doubled in weight she told me to give her .1cc twice a day so i just gave her her first dose. I hope this works! If this upsets her tummy what should I give her to stop diareah and help the tummy? Just want to be prepared! Thanks again!

It is pretty mild. Are you adding yogurt to her formula?

According to Baby mammal book, for 125 grams, would be 0.06, for a 250 gram 0.12, so that is right dosage. Def. good idea to start her on this. Have you been dusting lately? Or moving something that had been sitting in the same place for some time that could have moved dust into the air w/o you realizing it?

No I'm not but should I start? I do the FV with the heavy whipping cream cause it never upset her tummy from the begining but if I need to give her yogert I will get it first thing in the morning!
