Wow! My pinkie hasn't even been on the formula for 24 hours and is already gaining weight--even mixed with the goats milk formula! This is fantastic. I had him for 9 days and he hovered between 18-20g, but gained 2g in the past day. He seems to be taking to it really well and his bathroom habits have become sooo much more normal, too. Thanks so much to the board for the recommendation and all the help you've already given me.
Hope to post some cute pics of my growing boy over the next few weeks!:jump :jump :jump

If this is a less than 2-3 week old pinkie (squirrel), and you begin to have trouble even on the FV, I would mix the Goat Milk formula and the FV 32/40 at a 50% /50% mixture. I recently took in 3 pinkies that began to lose weight and seemed to be failures to thrive. I have read here on the TSB and other sights that some very young squirrels (less than 2-3 weeks) are not doing well on the FV alone. Not sure why, but this is happening to many MD,DC,VA, rehabilitators that I know. I have suggested the 50/50 GM formula and FV 32/40. In almost all cases it has turned these teeny ones around. It turned all 3 of my pinkies around in less then 3 feedings I noticed weight gain.

Good to know. Since he was on the GMF, I mixed it at gradual amounts to start with---even with the first feeding that contained the mixture, he immediately started gaining weight (where he didn't at all with just the GMF). He seems to be doing fine so far. I think he's at about 2 weeks or a little more right now.

Same with me...I couldn't believe how much adding the GM to the FV helped when my rockers were teeny. Only had to do it for a couple of weeks....but man what a difference.
