Pics are helpful. Could be mites unless you treat regularly.

From the pics, just looks like a pigment thing to me, but I could be wrong, hard to see. Are the dots moving?

Did you just happen to notice these black dots now or do you know for sure that they weren't there before and now they are?

Again, skin pigments. Anyone or thing can get them at any time. Unless you see her acting differently, then I wouldn't worry about them. She must be an Irish lass....she's got Irish beauty marks...aka freckles! :D

Are they scaley or smooth? Almost looks like pigment but could be mites or possible fungal infection.

At this point if she's not scratching and if they don't seem to be bothering her I wouldn't worry about it. It probably is a pigment thing. Keep an on them and let us know of any changes; redness, swelling, scabbiness, etc. Any of these could indicate a problem.

alex i have never seen anything like that, but the way some of them are clustered does make me think about a fungal infection. Definitely do the Chlorohex bath and see if anything changes. i will try to do some research for you too....Anyone at home with a copy of Wild Mammal Babies -- can you see if there is anything like this listed??

thanks I cant make her take a bath but I managed to wipe her palm and genital with the water mixed with the chlorohex and then wipe it again with fresh water. I touched them but it is so small but maybe a bit scaled... Ill keep you guys posted. Thanks...

oh I just thought of something. The trees from witch these squirrels came does have the black spot disease of leaf. It is probably that ? but the other squirrel don't have spot. And both did eat leaves and branch from there...

Looked up in Mammal Babies book, only thing listed for skin is bites/stings or Pyoderma (any acute, imflammatory purulent bacterial dermatitis--symptoms: red raised bums, often circular in shpat. Pustules. Hair loss. Crust areas, often on the stomach, and genital areas, but can be anywhere. Uusually occurs in young animals with immature immune systems. The condition often resolves quickly. Treatment: clean w/Chlorhexiderm scrub or antibacterial shampoo. Bactoderm cran can be used topically. Extensive cases may require oral abs--Clavamox, Cephalexin, etc, or Clindamycin 11mg/kg once daily, continue for 21 days or 7 days beyond clinical cure.)
They remind me of a bunch of tiny moles almost.
