Hey TSB family....desperately trying to get a baby from southern Arkansas to Fort smith ASAP...if you know anyone able to donate even a small amount of drive time please let me know. The baby in question is fading and Im not even sure we can get him here in time :(

I talked to him yesterday...he said baby wasnt doing well. I asked him to do a couple rehydrating sol. feedings and I recieved a message last night saying baby had improved and was eating again. It sounds as tho this baby has an abscess? Im so worried by the time he gets anywhere it will be too late.

Abscesses are very scarry in squirrels and very hard to beat. I have one now that had three surgeries and months of treatment before we beat it. He is NR because of it but will live out his life here with us. Lucky for us he is perfectly happy here and has baby brains so doesnt mind being a kept squirrel. I have dealt with many abscesses in squirrels and not always with a good outcome. The sooner he recieves treatment the better. Please keep me informed. Praying for this baby. Stacey

Should I direct the finder to these numbers to see if he has any luck? Just didnt want to duplicate if someone already had done so but didnt NOT want to in case it hadnt been done.

I feel terribly helpless. Its a little over 4 hours drive for me...theres no way I can make the whole thing. I have a licensed friend who has offered the last two hours of the trip but if he cant get out of Hampton to Hot Springs it doesnt matter :/ There is also a licensed rehabber in Russellville and a very good underground rehabber in Little Rock but still its far when your a baby squirrel without a ride.
