Hey Jackie!! --Did YOU see where I posted that I trimmed MARVEN'S TEETH for the 1st time MY SELF!! ----- :alright.gif :alright.gif :wahoo :alright.gif :alright.gif

I had not realized that so much time had past since out last visit to your house and then my other dad past away and I did not want to leave town with out having Marven's bottom teeth trimmed as they were cutting into his upper gums..... so I took all the experience I had gathered from watching YOU --My Mentor, from over the last four months and I did what any Mother would have done..... and I AM soooooooo PROUD!!

His upper teeth are still in NEED of a slight trim as they are curved inward and My trimmers where a little big for me to get into there and while I was comfortable trimming the bottom teeth.... I wasnt quit for sure how to do the top --any suggestions?

Thanks for ALL YOU have DONE for ME and MARVEN........ YOU are THE BEST!! :Love_Icon

The top ones you can take pretty short. I do Christine's (thanks to Jackie's teaching) and find those to be easier than the bottoms. Good job! :thumbsup

Here's a pic of normal squirrel teeth. Hope it helps!

AWESOME PIC!! -- Any Suggestion on the Best Way / Angle to get in THERE? --for the Top Teeth
his curves so far back into his little mouth - I am afraid of clipping his tongue.

I put a plain popsicle stick behind Christine's teeth & have hubby hold it in place while I hold her with one hand & clip with the other. The stick keeps her tongue out of the way & deters any clippings from falling into her mouth/throat. I go straight across & take it one tooth at a time. Try taking just a little bit off of the teeth at at time, instead of a whole lot.
(Yes, that pic is the ideal, but I've never been able to get Christine's that short. If I get them 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch & fairly even, I'm happy.) :D

Thanks for the Advice Legomom..... but sadly with Marven his upper teeth curve so far back into his little mouth (with his cleft palette and all) that its nearly impossible to get a popsicle stick or even a small rod behind them like I did his lower teeth..... :thumbsup //// BUT --I do think I might have to invest in the HELP of HUBBY like you suggested..... (better he get bitten then ME) :D -- :poke :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl
