Wow! God works in wonderful ways. I just released FEZ on Friday and was squirrel less for the first time in 2 years, when along comes a lady that "heard through the grapevine" that I rescue squirrels. Soooooo here I go again.
I havent looked real close at her/him yet as he/she is so frightned that I am letting it stay warm and quiet for a while. I am making the homemade pedialyte and just kind of giving it time to calm down.
The lady that found it, thought it had a broken foot, however, it is just deformed and not hurt. Is there a possibility that mamma didnt want it for that reason???
Is there any chance of it making it in the real world with a deformed paw??
ANy help and suggestions would be great. I will go and rehydrate him in a bit and update.
Thank you

Oh boy, no advice for this one as I'm not a rehabber, but a big THANK YOU for helping this sweet little baby. Will you be able to give it a forever home if he can't be released? Can we see pictures of the sweet little baby? :grouphug

He is a BOY! And his name is Ozzie! He is drinking pedialite and fox valley and seems to be calmed down a bit. He is warm, safe and has a full tummy. Now to set my alarm for 4 hours from now. I will post pics in the morning.
Even with the one arm he seems to get around pretty well. It is definately a birth defect. Poor little guy. Thanks all and I will keep you posted and put a pic on soon.

I will do that! I just hope that he can be free s omeday. He gets around really well with it but just wonder about actual climbing and defending himself. Time will tell.
If not...he has a forever home with me:thumbsup
