I have been in touch with a girl who is raising three pinky babies. The little girl has some kind of blisters at the base of her tail that have been there a few days now. Any idea what she should do? She texted me a pic but I have not seen it in person. She does not have internet so I am looking for an answer for her. Thanks.

OH - the poor little baby :Love_Icon --the first thing that came to mind was maybe...
infected ant bites or spider that laid some eternal eggs? :dono

HMMMMMMM, I agree. Some sort of ant bites that are now little abcesses? I also see a lot of bruising in the lower abdomen. This would also go along with ant bites I would think. If those bumps are fulled with puss, then they are ready to burst! Also the skin surface would be very soft and ready to blow out.
I think a vet may tap into that with the thinnest of hypodermic needle. If it were puss, they would them make a larger hole in it to let it dry and heal from the inside out.
Is the baby eating normally? Are those bumps hard like a firm growth or soft enough that they could be huge abcesses ready to burst?

Appetite has decreased over last day or two. She can tell the baby is losing weight. I have not heard back about the feel of the bumps. I told her I think she needs a vet. Gonna try and get her to go bc the more waiting around is only gonna harm the baby. I guess this is one of those things that no one is certain what it is. Hope a vet can help.
