Okay, so Zigg has been out in the wild since Memorial day weekend and has LOVED life. He coes hom fo visits about everyday sometimes 2-3 times per day. The past week I have oticed that he is haning around ALL DAY. H isnt eating his acorns (that he loves) and tonight I fed him an ear of seed corn and later on noticed that it had blood on it. Now I am worried sick about his teeth. I cant imagine what has happened . Any suggestions?

He may have broken a tooth or injured his mouth. Can you get a good look at his teeth? If they are not grinding together properly, one may be overgrown and iriitating or even piercing the inside of his nouth (mnalocclusion). Its very important for you to determine whether he needs to be trapped for a tooth clipping -- letting a squirrel's teeth overgrow can be fatal.

Yes, if one has broken off then the one below it won't get ground down properly and it will grow and grow until it pierces the mouth. :(
