My Squirrel is about 7 weeks old.
He has a clicking noise in nose or throat area whenever he sleeps along with quick breathes...when he is awake he still breathes in quick short breathes but no clicking noise. Is this pneumonia?
Please Help. I am Extremely Worried.

Typically you will hear it all the time, but it could b in early stages. The medicine of choice would be baytril, if you can get it. You may need to find a wildlife friendly vet near you to be seen or a liscenced re-habber.
We have members on here that may be close, I do not know the names as well as others. Make sure he is warm, hydrated & eating formula.

I am in Watauga County. He may have aspirated, I'm honestly not sure what it would look like...to aspirate.
He doesn't have any mucus or anything coming out of his throat or lungs now. And he doesn't seem to cough at all. But he seems to be very lethargic. He was first rescued over a week ago, and I thought he was blind or deaf. (or both) But he has since perked up..until he started to make the clicking sounds and quick breathes. :(
keep him warm and get him to a vet ... you need baytril asap....
(although call ahead ...and make sure they will not put him to sleep - some states squirrels are illegal)
if you've got baytril from other animals it will be fine to use...as long as it's not expired.... and you can get a dose for a baby squirrel...
did you talk to a rehabber???
whats the status right now?
i'm going to pm you some phone numbers ...mrs skul and jackie ... maybe they know someone in your area....
i'm so sorry this is very, very serious.... :grouphug
