Roxi has been scratching in her left ear alot. When I scratch the inside of ear her little leg goes to pumping. Does she have ear mites? How do I treat that?
Thanks, Roxi's mom :thankyou

Thanks Jackie and Rapsody. I have not noticed anything about the ear. I just tried to look down into the ear canal, and I didn't see anything obvious. I usually use my pinkie finger to rub the inside of her ear that I can reach, and it just sends her leg to thumping. Could it just be a sensitive ear? She has been scratching at it off and on, or lets just say more than the right ear whenever she goes to scratching. It is not something that she does continuously for more than a minute. It is that it is the left ear that I notice her scratching. She is 3-1/2 and I have never used Revolution on her. If I ever notice her scratch her body more than usual I usually give her a few spritzes of a mite spray for small animals. She has been fine as far as I can tell. Should I be using Revolution?

Should I be using Revolution? Are you noticing any clumpy brown debris collecting up on the body or around the ears or any hair loss? - if you haven't I would not jump and and use the Revolution at this point as there are risk with using the product...... and Revolution is to be used on Squirrels at least 8 weeks old.

I would suggest that you use Dawn Dish Soap to thoroughly wash the little fella in IF you feel there might some thing some thing going on with the body.... other wise we will have to play the wait and see game.

Well, she is 3-1/2 years old and I have not noticed anything like that about her. Her fur is very clean looking with no bare spots and I don't see anything in her ear. She just seems to have an itchier left ear than right ear. She does not constantly scratch it and never while she is sleeping that I can see or hear. Maybe it's nothing afterall, but I will continue to watch her. She has never had an ill day in her life and I pray she stays that way. I just need to trim a little weight off her but otherwise she is healthy, bored, but healthy.
