View Full Version : FLEA PROBLEM

Seems that all my kids have fleas on them..I use advantage on my dog once a month and frontline kitten spray on the ferret..I even use the flea powder on bedding..I've never had this problem before and don't know what to do for it..I think all this hot hot weather has something to do about it...

What can I use on the squirrels, my rats and guinea pigs? Fleas are even jumping on and off me....Is there a safe bomb to use in the house? It is not possible to remove all the animals so it has to be something that can be used with them in the house....

Revolution will get rid of the fleas, but there IS no safe bomb. :dono

TP, get a couple bottles of Zodiac Flea & Tick SPRAY for cats & kittens. Spray EVERYTHING.....carpeting, bedspreads, your shoes even! it will help, and it may cure the whole problem. I had a situation like this in a ground-floor apartment I rented years ago...thought I was going to go stark raving mad as the fleas leaped on me soon as my feet touched the floor in the morning! :soapbox Zodiac worked beautifully -- try it!

Thanks guys..I will try anything to end this problem...My RSD causes my skin to sometimes feel like there are tiny bugs crawling on me, so now whenever I get that feeling, I'm thinking fleas...Hmmm, I wonder if advantage works on people... :)

Not sure about Advantage on people, but Avon Skin So Soft works like a dream on people. The smell is not all that great, but I'll take it any day over fleas on me.

Have you looked into using DE --its SAFE to DUST and INGEST for Humans and Animals to keep the CRITTERS away...... I use it 3x a week.

Funny you should mention this, because I was just in their website..Not sure of it because I have never heard of it or knew anyone who've tried the product.....Until now....

From what I've read, it sure sounds like a really great product...

Skin so soft works BEAUTIFULLY as mosquito repellent!!! I don't know at all about other insectss, never tested it for others but hey... :) Great thing is, it protects AND does leave your skin all nice and soft - as its name suggests.

From what I've read, it sure sounds like a really great product...If it helps any...... I use it 3x a week on my animals and 1x a week on my self and my brother & mother uses it - (i would use it more myself) but I got stupid weird allergies & RA and some of its ingredients dont see eye to eye with my ailments. I personally think its AWESOME!! --and you can use it on your PLANTS as well, this Product is truly an all around the house use product.... :alright.gif

My sister uses DE on her, the two girls, and 2 dogs, 4 cats. Great results. (Dusting animals, digesting for animals and peeps!) I dust Bella, our GSD with it and also use it on my 4 cats. Now if only I could figure out how to keep Bella from licking the cats after they have been dusted...she loves the taste! Weirdo!

OH BTW ---this stuff KEEPS FLEAS OFF PEOPLE!!

Brief Story:
with the passing of my father here recently - me and my six siblings have been over at my parents house a lot looking after our Mother and our
Father's 6 Chihuahua (1 dog for each child that left the house - lol) and I am happy to report that I am the only child that DID NOT get eaten
ALIVE by FLEAS and the ONLY ONE that was DIGESTING the DE....... :wahoo :wahoo :alright.gif :wahoo :wahoo
