Hi everyone, I just rescued a baby squirrel that had fallen about 40 ft out of the nest. She appears to be about 3 weeks old, I've had her for 48 hours , she is nursing much better now. At this mornings feeding I noticed some bruising on her front leg up close to her body. Does she need vet care, she is very active and appears to be gaining weight. Thanks for any suggestions.

She looks very good, considering! I would watch that spot for swelling or inflammation, but not treat her for anything right now. Best not to load a tiny body with drugs unless it's absolutely necessary. Make sure she is on heat (half under the container, so she can crawl away if necessary) because that will soothe an owie shoulder. :)

If you're not already doing so, we STRONGLY encourage you to feed her Fox Valley Day One for Squirrels, 32/40. It is the very best formula available, from foxvalleynutrition.com. Esbilac is o longer recommended for wildlife, not even by the manufacturer.
