I'm still trying to figure out if Little Girl is pregnant or not. Would a few of you please post pics of non pregnant female tummies so I can tell if her nipples are large or not? Crazy, I know...but needed. :) PLEASE!!!!! Eastern Grey's please. :) She's up to 798 grams :sanp3
:thankyou

:wave123 Hi Tara
If she starts looking like she ate an egg. Her Tit start popping up where you can see them. Then you will have babies. :D Take a look at Raising Miss Rocki Squirrel. Skul thread in The Gray Squirrels. I believe we documented Rocki while Pregnant. Up till she had the babies and some more pic after birth. You can find even when she first got Pregnant. Good luck.
You can see allot of times she was Pregnant. The last on started in January 2011 page 34 # 662 674,P33 #641,P46#911, 914

PS
Just stare with page 34 Look for the date January 2011 and keep going.:D
The only time her nipples will look like the picture you posted.
Is way after she has nursed babies for a while. Is the Squirrel you are talking about the Black one?
Can you post a picture of her tummy? I really think Rocki thread will help you. :thumbsup3

Thanks IR & Jackie. :D Some of LG's are pink, and some are dark. They're not pointed or elongated like pencil lead, but aren't smooth to her skin. They're more like broken off pencil lead.
All I know is that she's turned into a B!%$#!!!!!! She just attacked and bit me and would NOT stop...She's obviously still being partially nice though, as I am only bleeding from her claws, not her teeth. I gave her a piece of corn to try to take more pics, but she grabbed it and took it to the top of the curtains! Hussy! She doesn't get corn very often, so she's all about it. Maybe she'll be nice in a few and let me get some pics-again...

Here's various pics of LG. The ones of her tummy and eating corn are from a few minutes ago. Added the others in for additional pics of her tummy side view. So... is she? :dono
Oh...and I looked up Raising Miss Rocki...and it seems LG is bigger than her and I couldn't tell much about the teets...? I'm going to go through again.

Went back through Rocki's thread and pics dated 1/7 look similar to LG from what I can tell? I'm not sure when her babies were born.

Tara, Little Girl sure is a pretty squirrel. Her tummy does look like some of the grays outside that are pregnant. Keep us posted on what you find out.:)

Thanks Ellymae! She's really a sweetheart! She's been released several times, but kept getting sick and coming back inside. We just finished up massive antibiotics, and now I'm thinking she may be pregnant? Anyway, hoping someone will chime in with their opinions of the pictures.
I'm thinking that it's the case, especially with the fast weight gain and aggressive behavior. She's never been like that before. Then again, she may just be late wilding up...if so...I'll set her free.

Chatterly looked like my Little Girl! LOL! Maybe she IS pregnant! She even said that there was a behavior change where she wasn't as nice...THAT sounds familiar!!!! We shall see.....................if I make it through this! I sleep only a couple of feet away from the NO NO toilet paper NEST! I hope she allows me to continue to sleep there! hahahaha!

How old is LG Tara? She is lucky to have you looking after her.

She's around 8 months. I rehabbed her and her two siblings from 2 weeks of age. Big Girl and Papa are still running free in the trees...nowhere to be seen anymore. Little Girl stayed close and built 4 nests. She was coming in and out for a while, and then she became sick several times. She would come in and take antibiotics for a week, go back out for a week, and then sick all over again! We just finished up 21 days of antibiotics, and I hope she's rid of it for good now!
I'm trying to wait and see if she's going to have babies, because I hate to throw her out to fend for herself all prego and everything. Those wilds are ferocious out there! :)
Look at her eyes in the second pic...u talking about MAD...she's MAD at me in that one. She's never been like this. Hoping she gets rid of the attitude soon.

What great photos to compare LG to. You just may be a squirrel grandmama soon.:) Hope so...that would be so cool.:D

One of my squirrels was really HORMONAL when she had her cycle. And yes....it is a wild world out there with the other wild squirrels.

I have a cat that I have had since she was a tiny half-starved kitten. She and her brother were named Piglet and Pooh. She "grew into" her name in a BIG way Here she is...

Hi Tara :wave123
I believe she is going to have babies. Do you have a nest box for her to get into? Some nice soft white Cotton is what I use. :D
They like fleece along with the paper towels. :D The Picture of Rocki Page 46 #911 She was about to give birth. Her tinkel was so swollen and soft . Babies were moving back to the birth canal. She had them that night.
The next Picture on the same page 46 #914 she came down for water and food. We are /have been in a drought and heat wave for TX.
Normally we would not see her for a week. The wilds Squirrels that give birth always come to eat very very, Late. Some times at dusk.
Because other Squirrels are already in bed and will not steel the nest with babies in them. Watch for her tinkel to start swelling.
When this happens I believe you have 24 to 48 hr. Then Babies.:thumbsup3

I'm so sorry...I was reading and didn't realize she lost her babies. :( :grouphug
I think you're right. I do believe she is pregnant based on those pics of Rocki. I'll have to get my fiance to get her nestbox out of the release cage so she'll feel safe. I'm going to stop loving on her when she's in her toilet paper nest too...in case she wants to have them there. I put my hand in there all the time to smooch and scritch her...even kiss her in her toilet paper. :)
We suspected she may have had pastuerella or bordatella...was on metro for 7 days and then smz for 21. There is a 21 day incubation period as well....so I'm hoping we're rid of whatever it was.
I'm guessing that based on this, it would be better to keep her inside if she doesn't flip out about it. Does everyone agree?
I'll watch for swelling. Wish us luck!!!!!!! :jump

Well that looks like a pregnant squirrel or a fat one :) What tipped me off with a squirrel I had with me, was the obsessive nesting in the house and she got a tad aggressive. I only let her out a few times, she was an overwinter squirrel.

Sure enough she had 4 little ones. I had her do it outside in nesting box and once everyone was 2 weeks old, nailed it up outside my house.

BTW, she is very cute.

Yes, notice the huge toilet paper nest she made on her hammock. :) Not to mention, Little Girl is tearing me to shreds! "A tad aggressive" doesn't even come close to what she's become!
When no one is in the living room and kitchen, I often let her run around a bit for exercise. She gets tired of staying in the one room. She also likes to go up and get a cheerio. For the past two days, she jumps on my shoulder when I get near the door, and IF I don't take her out of her room....MY ARMS REGRET IT!!!! She's so angry right now! A few days ago, I could practically do anything I wanted with her. NOW>>>>>I can't touch her unless she comes to me. There's something in her eyes that says "DO NOT MESS WITH ME"!!!! LOL! A few minutes ago I caught her with a piece of fleece and loved on her...she was okay and seemed to enjoy it...but when I put her down, she wanted nothing else to do with me!!!! The weekends are busy here, and my boys are everywhere, so she can't go out of her room today, so I'm sure she'll get me several more times before the day is up. I thought she was hurt a bit ago, but it was just my blood on her pretty white fur. Mean Little Girl! :jump
I found a hamster cage yesterday at a yard sale, and fixed it up for her in case she wants something a little more private. We also brought her nest box inside so she will know she has a place to go where no one can bother her. As of yet, she won't go inside...but she's lying on top of it. Guess that's a start. Only myself and my fiance come in this room, so hopefully all will be okay. We can handle the monster for now. Wish me luck!
