Hi. I am waiting for formula to arrive. It will take about three days. Wanted to know if anyone knows of any SAFE homemade formulas I can use for pinky squirrels until the formula arrives. Thanks!
I'm hoping this is Jackie in Tampa's recipe. I'm sure someone else will come on and give you more details, but in the meantime...here's the basic ingredients. :)
Homemade Recipe
1 cup Goats Milk
1/3 cup Full Fat Vanilla Yogurt
1/3 cup Heavy Cream
I believe it stays good for 48 hrs in fridge.

Just remember, even with homemade formula, always start off with diluted and work up to full stregnth (so I would make up the formula and pull 25% formula into the syringe, then 75% water, and every few feedings up the ration until you are at full stregnth.) And when formula arrives, you will need to start off diluted (4-1 water/formula,) as well. And start off with pedialyte for first 12-24 hours before giving any formula, as well.
Thanks for adding the important info Rhapsody and Pappy!!! :)

canned Goats milk will need to be diluted ...it is condensed...
I use the Meyerberg brand in the carton...next to the milk and heavy cream...fresh and cold...
It can be frozen into cubes and thawed as needed for no waste...
I love Goatsmilk formula, but it smells and it's expensive!

once frozen remove from tray wrap in reynolds wrap (twice) them place in freezer safe container and place in freezer
take out 1 cube as needed / defrost / heat / feed.
